PRACTICE CHANGES. It
has recently been brought to our attention that we will have some practice
changes for the next two weeks. The Dolphins Synchronized Swim Team is starting
to practice for their show and need to use the pool. For this reason we are
going to hood practice at Badger on
Wednesday, Feb. 6th and Wednesday, Feb. 13th. The
practice times will remain the same. On Monday,
Feb. 11th we will be having the Pasta Party. All swimmers will
start their practice at 6:00 p.m. Ribbon groups will get out around 7:00 p.m.
and the rest of the swimmers will finish around 7:15. If you are not attending
the Pasta Party please plan accordingly. Note:
The current swim session will run until Feb. 29th. All swimmers are
able to practice until then.
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED. We
still have a few openings for volunteers at the Regional Meet. Please note the
list below and contact Ann Dommisse if you are able
to help in any way.

Timer Clean up after meet over
If
you have not signed up at all, or have only signed up for one time slot, please
do soon. We really need your help. Also, please watch for needed
baked goods and concession donations to be posted soon. Some of the items
we will need are carrots, celery, broccoli, ranch dressing, spaghettios and
bakery items. These concession donations
will need to be brought to the pool on Wednesday,
February 13, 2008. Baked goods can
be grought to the concessions area of the meet when
you get there. We make a great profit off the bakery sales at this meet.
Thanks for helping out. Your swimmer and the Club really appreciate it.
PASTA
PARTY. A
Pasta Party will be held on Monday,
February 11, 2008, at 7:00 P.M.
Pasta is a big tradition before a big meet (like our Regional
Meet). Pasta helps you carbo-load for
the swim meet. Presto Italiano has catered this event for us for the last several
years. It is a very enjoyable
evening. We will be posting sign-up
sheets in the near future for donation of beverages and desserts for this
party. Details are being finalized and
more information will follow.
AWARDS
BANQUET. We
will be holding our annual Awards Banquet on March 7, 2008. This is a great opportunity to recognize our
swimmers. We hope that you can attend
this wonderful evening. A variety of
awards will be given to our swimmers.
These awards are based on a variety of talents and accomplishments, and
not strictly on meet performance.
Our
children work very hard at the sport they love and need to be recognized for
their accomplishments.
REGIONAL
MEET. Our
Regional Meet is coming up soon. Please
make sure you arrive on time for this meet.
Warm-ups for Friday evening begin at 4:30 P.M. Everybody should be at the meet by 7:00 A.M.
for warm-ups on both Saturday and Sunday if you are a morning swimmer. Timers must be present for the timer’s
meeting before the start of the meet, usually at about 7:30 A.M. Please make sure you are present on time for
your volunteer spots. The meet cannot
start until all positions are in place, especially timers and people working in
the pool area. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in making our major
fundraiser meet of the year a success.
SEEKING
NOMINATIONS FOR BOARD MEMBERS. We
are currently seeking nominations for the positions of Secretary and President
of West Bend Swim Club. These terms
expire at the end of this session. Please
consider helping us out by being on the Board.
Board meetings are held monthly while your child swims. Please contact a Board member if you are
willing to take a position on the Board.

you haven’t visited our website lately, you might want to check out some
improvements to it. Directions are now
available to some of the meets you might not know how to get to and also
timelines are posted when available. Our
